Location Details: 5349 W. 76th St, Indianapolis, IN

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 3:00 pm-11:30 pm; additional hours required during peak season Jul-Dec.

How You Will Make An Impact

The BSN SPORTS team is looking for a team oriented, high-energy Pre-Production Manager. As a member of the Production team, the Manager is a key leadership role and is responsible for providing a safe environment, developing and coaching all team members, and collaborating with teams across the organization to achieve KPIs that result in outstanding service to our coaches and student athletes. Pre-Production Manager is responsible for managing print production, coordinating print jobs per schedule, maintaining printing equipment, ensuring quality control, and overseeing a team of digital print operators.

What You Will Do

Production Management: Planning and scheduling print jobs according to production schedule to meet delivery and customer expectations. Allocates resources efficiently and optimizes workflow processes to maximize productivity with a continuous improvement mindset.

Quality Control: Ensures printed materials meet quality standards and specifications, conducts quality checks on printed materials and troubleshoots any issues with print quality or equipment.

Equipment Maintenance: Oversees the maintenance and repair of DTF printing equipment, coordinates with internal and external partners to address any technical issues and ensures equipment is properly calibrated and functioning optimally.

Inventory Management: Manages inventory levels of printing supplies, such as film, ink, filters, orders supplies as needed and maintains accurate records of inventory levels and usage.

Budgeting and Cost Control: Monitors print costs, identifies opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements, and adheres to annual allotted budget.

Team Member Training and Development: Provides training and guidance to DTF printer operators; coaches team members to improve their skills and performance. Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment.

Customer Service: Interacts with internal and external customers to understand needs, provides guidance on printing options and ensures customer requirements are met effectively.

Technical Savvy: Able to understand, execute, and troubleshoot various software and hardware, including software used to prepare and print order files in a variety of formats (ex. transfers, wall clings, banners, UV) and hardware including DTF printers and dryer/shakers.

Safety Minded: Ensures all safety protocols and procedures are followed in the print room, maintains a clean and organized work area and promotes safe practices among team.

Qualifications

Flexibility to work varying shifts in support of the operation

Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in any field and/or 5-7 years' experience in manufacturing/production setting

Experience with wide format printers and/or printing direct to film transfers and rip software, a plus

Experience with pre-production Screen Print equipment, a plus

3-5 years' experience in a Manager level role

Lean/process/continuous improvement concepts and principles, including creating GEMBA metrics

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 10-35 lbs. on a regular basis.
