A Groundman is an entry level position in the lines department and performs a variety of labor duties necessary to assist journey level workers and others in installing, maintaining, repairing and/or operating company facilities and equipment. Groundman (External Candidates - Provisional Status) The Groundman must obtain an apprenticeship within 24 months of hiring or forfeit their employment. The Pre-Apprentice Lineman (Internal Candidates) employees will be required to bid locations in Utah, Idaho and/or Wyoming, after successfully passing the final Journeyman Lineman Exam.
