POSITION: Brand Associate Account Director

The Associate Account Director will play an integral role in researching, developing, designing, and implementing key projects and initiatives and leading account management for a variety of Brand clients. AAD will be responsible for managing approximately 7 - 10 assigned retainer accounts and projects at a time, may act as the first-line contact to their assigned client accounts, and will work collaboratively with Brand management to drive division and client priorities.
Seeking professionals with brand comms experience in lifestyle, spirits, travel + hospitality, sports, cpg, beauty/wellness or fashion.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead various account teams, including managing and supporting junior staffActively pitch and secure media coverage on behalf of clients on a local, regional, national and international levelWrite, proof and edit a variety of PR, communications and marketing materials, while contributing as a core team member on client accountsDevelop compelling stories and draft compelling narratives on behalf of clientsLead client programs and campaigns from planning to execution within the specified budgetDevelop and execute compelling VIP and influencer strategies, with tangible resultsCollaborate with other divisions across the agency to ensure the client is getting access to the agency's network-wide expertiseDeliver strong media and influencer coverage consistently producing high quality internal and external communications contentHave strong connections with leading and emerging editorial talents globallyAchieve exceptional outcomes for current clients and manage an extended portfolio ensuring consistency of service is delivered in line with company policyDevelop press relationships and manage contacts with key commentators, stylists, industry spokespeople, and sector influencersAnd other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
7 - 9 years of PR agency experience, including at least 2 years as a Senior Account Manager preferredProven track record of success landing media placements and developing a rapport with clientsEstablished and demonstrable network of editors, journalists, influencers, and industry figures, particularly in fashion, sports, arts, entertainment, and culture (personal and professional relationships are a must)Extensive experience planning and executing client eventsKeen networker, adept at building relationships with key influencers and industry spokespeopleProven ability to present complex industry information to target audiencesExcellent project management skills with strong organizational and planning skillsStrong negotiation and delegation skillsBusiness acumen with the ability to communicate across departments and represent PR within the businessAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environmentExceptional relationship-building skills, collaborative, able to work well with othersKnowledgeable on multiple reporting and database platforms including Launchmetrics, MeltWater, Lefty, Muck Rack, and moreTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE
