• Automotive development and testing of Powertrain Control Units
• Writing hardware and software specifications
• Performing confirmation testing on the actual vehicle and simulator
• Troubleshooting and fixing related problems
• Software functional data analysis and report generation
• Working with component suppliers and other departments to resolve technical issues
• Make technical decisions with moderate supervision
• Able to work with a team or on an individual basis to reach project goals
• Other responsibilities also include researching new technologies and market trends and making proposals for future products

What you'll need to be successful:

• Requires a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or similar
• 5 years experience with Powertrain ECU validation (Transmission, Shifter or FI-ECU preferred experience)
• Strong knowledge of electrical hardware and software development
• Interest in the automotive field and experience in the use of electronic measuring equipment and electrical troubleshooting experience
• Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint / Vector tools: CANalyzer, CANape / ETAS: INCA)
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel and work overtime may be required
• Valid Ohio driver's license
