River Valley Power and Sport Rochester is looking for an experienced service manager who is energetic, has a customer first personality to fit our culture of selling FUN offroad/on-road products and can lead a powersport service department at a high level.

Job Summary: Ideal candidate would be responsible for 2 technicians, 1 service writer, 1 lot hand, and 1 detailer, and in coordination with a team of 3 in our parts department. Must have previous service department management experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for overall department efficiency

Ensure that each customer receives professional, hospitable, and courteous treatment during the entire sales process

Evaluate performance of technicians based on job description and department objectives (Recorded- annually. Daily/Weekly feedback verbally)

Coordinate/Work through warranty claims, service files, warranty parts and warranty parts files with the Warranty Administrator

Ensure that technicians perform each job within proper time limits

Spot check units for correct and complete maintenance and repairs

Maintain safe housekeeping standards in the shop area, technicians facilities and unit storage areas

Conduct periodic department meetings and in house technical training

Review department objectives and modify processes when needed to ensure that goals are met

Prepare for and present topics at weekly managers meetings / monthly store meetings

Scheduling service work in coordination with service writer

Develop quotes and estimates- clearly communicating such info

Writing of repair orders

Maintaining records for all service work performed

Coordinate parts orders as needed for service completion

Greet customers, obtain customer and unit data- or delegate to support staff

Follow up on progress of repair with customer; contact customer for any estimate or time changes

Handle telephone or email inquiries regarding services needed

Skills and Qualifications:

Communication skills, customer service

Experience in a manager role

Knowledge of mechanics of powersports equipment

Service Department management experience required

Service writing experience preferred

Organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, positive attitude, and strong work ethic

Experience in an RV, automotive, marine, powersport industry setting highly encourage to apply

Pay: structure is a very competitive base salary + lucrative commission ($45,000-$60,000)
