Powder Engineer - Pacific Northwest National Laboratory : Job Details

The Nuclear Sciences Division within the Energy & Environment Directorate at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is currently seeking an engineer specializing in powder transport and rheology to join its Radiological Materials (Ra. M) group as a Scientist/ Engineer 3 (SE 3). PNNLs Ra. M Group is a world leader in development and testing of materials for immobilization of nuclear and hazardous wastes. The successful SE 3 candidate will have demonstrated professional expertise in powder characterization and flow properties, as well as processing, transport and handling AND/ OR rheology-based expertise, including handling of materials like slurries, sediments, or particulate suspensions. This may include understanding of colloid and interfacial science; dense slurry rheology, transport, and handling; and nuclear waste processing.
