Job DetailsThis position is responsible for supporting a scientific team conducting translational research in hematology, blood disorders and stem cell biology. The person would be responsible for conducting cellular and molecular studies using animal models and culture system, analyzing data and presenting the findings to the laboratory.Responsibilities includeConduct and design independent research under the direction of lab Principle Investigator (PI).Conduct various experiments including cell culture, analyzing erythropoiesis and changes in macrophages of in various mouse modelsSummarize experimental data timely and assist in drafting figures, results, and methods for publication under the direction of the PI.Lead junior research assistants/technicians/students.Acquiring a thorough understanding of the present scientific literature relating to the research in the laboratory.Presenting research findings to other members of the laboratory.EducationA doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering or a related field is required.ExperienceMust have hands-on experience with cell culture, flow cytometry analyses, western blot and animal handling.Knowledge of computer science, genomics and molecular biologyInterested in hearing more?
