The Postdoc Research Associate will provide program support to the Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Fellowship project, and will work closely with collaborators at the University of Maine, the USDA Midwest Climate Hub, the USDA Northeast Climate Hub, and American Farmland Trust, among others.
Duties include:
Required Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in agricultural education and communication, with emphasis on social science research, evaluation, and extension/outreach
Preferred Qualifications:
The Postdoc Research Associate will be located in the ISU Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice. The primary program that the post-doc will work on is called the Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Fellowship, which is running four fellowship programs. These cohort-based learning opportunities are for farmers and agricultural advisors in the Northeast and Midwest who are interested in agriculture-related adaptation and mitigation strategies and planning, as well as peer-to-peer networking and support.
