JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Post Entry this position is responsible for resolving all regulatory errors on behalf of clients. This position is open to location

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate corrections to entries based on client and team requests and work within deadlines set by Customs

  • Work with Service Coordinators Teams to fix entry discrepancies Be able to communicate directly with Customs and Customers on corrections

  • Closely monitor corrections made in order to receive needed refunds from Customs

  • Manage and resolve all regulatory errors on behalf of clients.

  • Obtain supporting or additional documentation.

  • Analyze situation and determine best course of action.

  • Develop written arguments for presentation to customs.

  • Monitor process through to successful conclusion while keeping client, customs and other interested parties apprised of developments and ultimate outcome.

  • Respond to additional duty assessments.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Demonstrated experience in Customs Brokerage Operating Systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Experience in post entry summary claims and/or customs clearance or other post entry functions is a definite plus

  • Proven ability to problem solve, handle large volumes of work and meet tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication, initiative and data analysis skills.

  • Strong attention to detail

WORK EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED

1 year of experience

EDUCATION

Required: High School/GED or equivalent

Preferred: Associates Degree or post-secondary education
