Job Title: Portfolio Manager – Affordable Housing

Location: Onsite in Portland, OR (occasional travel to properties required)

Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time (Monday–Friday)

Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000 annually DOE

Position Overview:

LHH Recruitment is seeking an experienced and driven Portfolio Manager to oversee a portfolio of affordable housing properties. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity based in Portland, OR, with occasional travel to property sites. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of affordable housing regulations and a proven track record of managing multiple properties effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of a portfolio of affordable housing properties
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local housing regulations (e.g., HUD, LIHTC)
  • Collaborate with property managers to meet occupancy, financial, and operational goals
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality standards are met
  • Develop and manage budgets, financial reports, and performance metrics
  • Serve as the primary liaison between ownership, residents, and regulatory agencies
  • Lead and support teams in resolving resident issues and operational challenges

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing a portfolio of affordable housing properties
  • Strong knowledge of affordable housing programs and compliance requirements is required
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel locally to property sites as needed
