Porter (Kingsboro Men's MICA Shelter) - The Salvation Army Eastern Territory : Job Details

The Porter reports directly to the Facility Manager regarding all janitorial and facility related issues; immediately reports any major building repairs, hazards, defects and/or supply needs to the Facility Manager. Bathroom-cleaning sinks, showers, and toilets. Kitchen/ Serving Area-cleaning sinks and counters; cleaning small appliances and serving utensils or serving equipment, including the steam table and cart. Bag trash after meals. Dining Room-washing off tables, sweeping and mopping. Clean entrance of building, hose sidewalk and entrance when is required. Remove ice and snow when required, remove garbage debris to proper areas. Wash out trashcans and replace liners. Work in the laundry room; filling and removing resident's laundry from the washer and dryer, folding and arranging laundry as requested. Serve meals to residents on the respective shift he/she is working with. Work in the clothing room and distribute clothing to the residents.
