Job DescriptionPortable Metrology Engineering Technologist York PA Contract to Hire Hours: 2pm - 11pm Pay Rate: $36.52/Hr. Benefits: overtime, medical, dental, vision, 401k Estimated OT Hours/Week: 5 hrs Travel: 10%Responsibilities:

• • Conduct laser inspection and dimensional report generation for fixtures and combat vehicle structures
  • Support military programs (e.g., AMPV, M88, Bradley, ACV, M109A7, M992A3, etc.)
  • Generate detailed reports of data for Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality
  • Conduct laser inspections of new design installations for integration into manufacturing
  • Perform inspection tasks for new designs and design changes with laser data
  • Interface with Design Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Manufacturing to address product issues
  • Create and deliver quality inspection plans and reports for Manufacturing and customers
  • Review laser data and develop preventative action plans

Skills

• Skilled in providing consistent, technical solutions to a wide range of problems and issues
• Ability to seek out and present alternative, imaginative solutions to more challenging problems
• Willingness to learn and understand GD&T to complete inspections and work towards ASME Y14.5 certification
• Computer literacy including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Willingness to be hands-on with and learn how to use Portable CMM equipment

Skills Preferred

• Experience working in a DOD manufacturing environment
• Experience using Polyworks or related inspection software
• Basic understanding of GD&T
• Experience working with Portable CMM equipment

Required Experience
