A Polysomnographic Technician Trainee develops competency in and performs the basics of polysomnographic testing and associated interventions under the direct supervision of a Registered Sleep Technologist. The polysomnographic technician trainee works under the supervision of a registered sleep technologist/shift supervisor/and or program manager. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED equivalent plus six (6) months of direct patient care experience or 1 year of post-secondary education is required Successful completion of a STAR-designated Focused education program, A-STEP Self Study Program and passing the RPSGT exam is required within one year of hire. Obtain/ Maintain BCLS Certification required. Effective written and verbal communication skills desired. Appropriate social skills with emphasis on customer service skills is required.
