Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Polymer Process Engineer with expertise in scaling up
laboratory synthesis of Polyoxazoline (POx) derivatives to pilot-scale production. In this
role, you will collaborate closely with Polymer Synthetic Chemists to optimize and transfer
processes for large-scale manufacturing. This position offers you the opportunity to drive

Key Responsibilities
- Polymer Synthesis: Hands-on experience with lab-scale synthesis of polyoxazoline (POx) derivatives, utilizing both well-established and novel techniques to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Pilot Scale Development: Lead the progression of synthesis processes from lab to pilot scale, partnering Polymer Synthetic Chemists to fine-tune parameters for larger-scale operations.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance yield, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures and results; prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including synthetic scientists, analytical chemists, and quality control personnel, to integrate POx materials into product development.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field.
Experience and Skills
- Proven experience scaling synthetic polymer processes for medical device or pharmaceutical applications.
- Proficient in troubleshooting, process optimization, and statistical analysis for process control.
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant industrial research experience is required.
