Give us a call at 937-###-#### and/or apply directly to this posting for immediate consideration!SummaryAs a Polishing Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality products that meet their specifications. You will be responsible for grinding parts flat and parallel to customer-specified thickness and finish, while contributing to team efforts for operating in a safe environment for the timely delivery of quality parts by maximizing first-run production of parts to Router requirements.Primary Responsibilities:Determines the sequence of operations by studying the router, blueprints, specifications, and work orders.Loads the appropriate parts on fixtures to polish parts.Prepares machine for production by positioning parts.Set and adjust controls.Maintains specifications by observing operations, detecting defects, inspecting parts, and adjusting controls.Resolves production problems by adjusting controls and process materials to meet specifications. Notifies supervisor for additional resources when necessary.Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on a timely basis, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and alerting supervisor of the necessity of repairs.Meets daily production schedule.Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.Qualifications:Knowledge: Basic reading and math skills (minimum of 8th grade level). GED or High School Diploma required, and 1 to 3 years in Manufacturing Experience.Abilities: Manufacturing Quality, Controls and Instrumentation, Mechanical Inspection Tools.Skills: Decision Making, Problem Solving, Job Knowledge, understands copy exact requirements, and experience with OSHA compliance.Physical Demands:Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.Benefits available the 1st of the month following hire date!!
