Police Officer - Deaconess Health System : Job Details

Use of discretion in enforcing Indiana State Statutes involving matters of criminal activity on Deaconess Property. Actively engages in reporting and notification of safety infractions, the prevention and detection of criminal activity, and prevention of any activity adverse to the health care environment. Also aids in any type of emergencies inside the hospital, or on hospital grounds. Shall respond to calls for assistance by hospital staff, patients, visitors, and local law enforcement agencies. Proactively partners with hospital staff to ensure a safe work environment. Qualifications for Police Officer Requires HS diploma or GED Equivalent. Requires working knowledge of computers and various software programs. Requires current non-restricted Indiana Driver's License. Requires ability to successfully complete all requirements for a Hospital Police Officer as set by I. C. 16-18-4-4. Successful completion of Pre-Basic Training (40 hours).
