Police Crime Analyst - City of Santa Barbara California : Job Details

This position will be part of the Police Departments Community Accountability program. The position will collect and analyze complex statistical data related to crime, criminal offenders, demographics, and related categories for use in allocating and deploying police department resources. The position will communicate statistics and analysis through charts, maps, graphs, tables, and other visual products to clearly present information to the Fire and Police Commission and the overall community. The Crime Analyst will also provide technical support and training to advance the utilization of crime analysis and information systems in law enforcement. EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS Knowledge of:Databases applicable to Crime Analyst work. Policies regarding record management and access.
