Point of Care Coordinator - General Lab - Ascension Health : Job Details

Manage instruments, competencies, quality control documenting and reagent/supplies for units performing various types of bedside testing. Provide guidance and support to assigned staff performing point of care (POC). Create and/or assist with training, and ensures appropriate stock of reagents, quality control materials, etc. Monitor competencies and is available for follow up when lock out occurs. Monitor middleware for inappropriate barcode scanning, testing and resulting errors, and reports as appropriate. May be scheduled for regular bench assignments in any department as needed. Oversee and audit analyzer/cartridge failures and arranges for service or replacements. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration:Medical Technologist (ASCP) credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred. Laboratory Tech credentialed from the American Board of Bioanalysis (AAB) preferred.
