Job Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, coordinates, and administers a facility construction, renovation, maintenance and repair program for the institution in accordance with building plans and specifications and in compliance with health and environmental standards.

• Position requires experience in HVAC, electrical, fire alarms, PA/Intercom systems, kitchen equipment, plumbing, sprinkler systems, general carpentry, etc.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire. Relevant experience may be substituted for the required diploma on a year-for-year basis. SCDC Minimum Requirements:(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).

• A high school diploma and five (5) years of extensive working knowledge of principles and techniques of general maintenance and repairs, kitchen equipment, plumbing, HVAC, etc., to include two (2) years in a supervisory capacity.
