Position Title: Plumber Maintenance

Reports To: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Position Location: U.S Army Parks Reserve Forces Training Area, Dublin, CA

Workdays/Time: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, occasional evenings/weekends

Hourly Wage: $38.96 per hour based on experience, plus benefits

Qualifications:

  • Must have a documented diagnosis by a licensed California physician or a certification from a California State rehabilitation agency.
  • Must pass a government security clearance and criminal background checks; valid California Driver's License required.
  • Must possess a valid Plumbing License, have graduated from Technical School or an apprentice program, and have experience with computer operations and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 3–5 years of practical journeyman experience with commercial and industrial plumbing systems, including mixing valves, fixtures, copper piping, backflow systems, and cast-iron piping. Experience in brazing, soldering, chemical and water treatment, and testing is required.
  • Strong knowledge of current plumbing codes and tools such as augers, snaking, and jetting machines.
  • Physical ability to lift materials up to 50 pounds unassisted, and perform tasks involving sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and climbing ladders for up to 60 minutes.

Duties:

  • Respond promptly to emergency plumbing work orders, diagnosing and repairing water, gas, sewage, and oil systems, and providing updates.
  • Install, modify, and repair utility, plumbing supply, and disposal systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and sketches for system routing and installation.
  • Locate and tap main lines, set up system routes, install valves, traps, and unions as needed.
  • Test and repair backflow systems using testing equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on utility systems.
  • Repair existing systems and components such as water heaters, disposal units, sinks, and sprinkler systems.
  • Maintain documentation for work orders, inspections, and testing logs.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to laborers or maintenance workers performing routine tasks.
