DEPARTMENT: Facilities LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 245 days QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Must have an excellent working knowledge of industrial and commercial plumbing installation and maintenance. 2. Must have the ability to work without direct supervision. 3. Must be licensed to drive in South Carolina. 4. Must be computer literate with the ability to utilize the existing automated facility maintenance management software. 5. Must be a licensed Plumber. License must be valid in the state of South Carolina or obtain SC license within 3 months of employment. 6. Individual must be trained in OSHA relating to plumbing work, OSHA 10-hour course preferred. 7. Must have the physical ability to work in all building areas, roofs, basements, crawlspaces and under all environmental conditions while kneeling, stooping, lying and confined. 8. The individual must be able to work from ladders, man lifts and aerial platforms as required to service water, sewer, and gas systems. 9. Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, associate's degree preferred. IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Assistant Director/Director of Facilities PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. This individual shall be responsible for the maintenance and repair of plumbing and gas systems associated with the K-12 educational facilities of District Two in accordance with local, state and national plumbing codes. 2. This individual shall be responsible for new and expanded installation of plumbing systems throughout the district building and facilities in accordance with local, state and national plumbing codes. 3. Assist On-site Maintenance technicians with maintenance issues and instructions and training to enable them to perform plumbing maintenance. 4. This individual shall perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director/Director of Facilities.
