Clearance Requirement: Applicants selected will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information. Ability to obtain & maintain HSPD & Secret clearance, with HSPD-12 & Secret active clearance preferred.
License/Certification Requirements:
- Must be certified/license in pipefitting, steam fitting, or sprinkler systems, and hold a valid journeyman plumber's license.
- Master's Plumber's license issued by Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission is preferred.
- Backflow certification is highly preferable or candidates should be willing to obtain it within 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, modify, and repair all pipes and plumbing systems.
- Maintain and upgrade plumbing equipment and piping.
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on plumbing-related equipment.
- Report to the Shift Operating Engineer.
- Install and repair plumbing equipment such as water heaters, drinking fountains, toilets, sinks, etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years relevant experience and a High School diploma or GED.
- Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for security clearance, with the ability to obtain & maintain HSPD & Secret clearance, with HSPD-12 & Secret active clearance preferred.

Physical Abilities
- Lift at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period.
- Relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
- Work at heights up to 60 feet, climbing scaffolds, aerial lifts, and ladders.
- Perform routine physical activities such as walking, climbing, lifting, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
- Good vision (corrected if necessary), color vision, hearing, and ability to communicate in English.
- Use standard ladders with tools without exceeding weight limits.
- Recognize potential problems, apply general rules to specific issues, and synthesize information to form conclusions.

Pay Range
USD $45.00 - USD $50.00 /Hr.
