PLC Technician

We're looking for a PLC Technician with strong Allen-Bradley experience to join our Maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Duties:

  • Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix)
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and control system issues
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PLCs, HMIs, and related equipment
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability
  • Maintain accurate documentation of PLC programs and wiring diagrams
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new automation systems
  • Train maintenance staff on PLC procedures and safety protocols
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and support root cause analysis

Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Proficiency in RSLogix 5000 / Studio 5000 and ladder logic programming
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, sensors, actuators, and motor controls
  • Experience with PanelView HMIs and Ethernet/IP networks
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Willingness to work and respond to urgent maintenance needs

Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required):

  • Experience with Rockwell Automation software suite
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and remote diagnostics
  • OSHA or NFPA 70E certification
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or TPM principles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $34.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
