Learn more at www.locperformance.com Summary Utilizes knowledge of PLCs and controls hardware to assist in day to day issue resolution and create solutions to larger more complex problems. More than likely this will be an off shift (night shift) position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
  • Manage capital and/or expense projects assigned.
  • Work cross functionally with production and engineering departments to ensure goals & objectives are met.
  • Develop timelines and prioritizes workload to meet schedule needs.
  • Assist craftsmen with troubleshooting machines.
  • Create and implement solutions to recurring issues.
  • Report project status and action items to management on scheduled basis
  • Research and purchase required outside materials when needed.
  • Perform studies and coordinate process improvements
  • Keep PLC programs and schematics up-to-date.
  • Participate in cost savings projects
  • Implement new tooling/fixture/machine concepts to reduce product cost
  • Assist engineering department with all data management, engineering changes, and all other related engineering documentation when needed.
  • Assist with customer activities/support as requested
  • Expert knowledge or PLC & controls hardware and software.
Education and/or Experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, models, drawings and technical specifications.
  • Extensive working knowledge of manufacturing practices in a diverse range of processes.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and varying environment.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Proficiency in CAD software preferred.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply problem solving tools and methodology to a variety of manufacturing and business process issues.
  • Prior experience with writing and troubleshooting PLC programs & hardware, especially Allen Bradley.
  • Associate's degree (A. S.) in an industrial PLC & controls discipline or other technical discipline or applicable years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
