Job Description :

Responsibilities:

  • Greet donors at the plasma collection center and carry out registration procedures to confirm donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.
  • Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process, following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct health-related assessments including self-administered health history, basic medical inquiries, and health screenings such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature.
  • Perform finger sticks to collect samples for hematocrit and total protein level checks.
  • Upon training completion, educate new donors about therapeutic products derived from donated plasma, explaining screening processes, health tests, appointment systems, donation fees, center policies, and nutrition guidance.
  • Respond to donor inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring all questions are answered to their satisfaction.
  • Assist with the registration of new and transfer donors as needed, based on operational requirements.
  • Manage telephone inquiries and transfer calls to the appropriate staff members when necessary.
  • Remain vigilant to donor reactions during or after the pheresis process and notify relevant medical personnel as needed.
  • Report any donor flow issues to the Group Leader or Supervisor.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of donor information in the electronic donor information management system in compliance with SOPs.
  • Understand and apply policies related to hyper immune programs at the center, if applicable.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment and ensure that adequate supplies and forms are readily available.
  • Adhere to all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and OSHA policies and procedures, promoting safety in all activities.
  • Uphold confidentiality for all donor and center information.
  • Be open to cross-training in various roles to meet the center's needs.
  • Bilingual skills may be required based on business needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) months of experience in a clerical or customer service role, preferably within a medical or healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
