Plant Specialist/Engineer - Rotating Equipment - NRG Energy : Job Details

Possesses a broad range of working knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of pumps, turbines, and other rotating equipment, as well as related industry codes / standards / regulations in support of a multi-unit power plant and carbon capture facility. Also knowledgeable in the areas of valves, piping, heat exchangers, gearboxes, lubrication systems and other balance of plant equipment found in a power plant setting. Essential Duties/ Responsibilities: Provides a high level of support to power plant operations and maintenance personnel. Performs field inspections, field measurements and equipment walk downs. Familiar with machining processes and repair methods. Makes recommendations based on data collected. Prepares written reports in assigned area of responsibility. Participates in or lead teams that focus on specific problem areas or needs for generation units (e.g. Root Cause Analysis).
