QHSE Manager - Prairie du Chien, WI

Ensure client satisfaction through deployment and facilitation of SMART Rules & Tools. Coordinate risk management actions related to personal safety and environmental protection of property. Represent the customer within the AMEC business unit. Manage activities within the production unit and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, including risk assessments and operational monitoring.

Qualifications include:

  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • IATF16949/ISO14001/ISO45001 Auditor Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • At least three years of experience as a Quality Engineer, including calibrating production equipment, auditing quality systems, executing Six Sigma projects, and implementing continuous improvements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Implement Smart and related initiatives: Facilitate Smart site section deployment, suggest developments, and measure process efficiency.
  • Customer Representation: Ensure compliance with customer requirements, manage supplier performance, coordinate audits, and handle in-production incidents and warranty returns. Have authority to block shipments or stop production if customer risk is confirmed.
  • Manage job family activities: Ensure quality tools and methods are used, coordinate audits, communicate quality issues, and support new project development.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop team members, monitor performance, conduct appraisals, and maintain motivation and a positive environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to risk management standards and prepare necessary assessments and reports.
  • Essential skills include strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to see the bigger picture.
