We're looking for a Fixed Equipment Engineer to join our client's team at their plant in Indiana. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of this advanced chemical manufacturing facility. What You'll Do:
- Own & Drive Capital Projects - Manage projects ranging from small-scale improvements ($1M) focused on safety, reliability, and compliance.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance - Serve as a key resource for interpreting and implementing OSHA, ASME, NFPA, PSM, and EPA RMP regulations.
- Lead Process Safety Efforts - Oversee Management of Change (MOC) processes, including Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), ensuring safety is embedded in every change.
- Strengthen Our Safety Culture - Conduct audits, lead incident investigations, and deliver training programs to reinforce best practices across the facility.
- Provide Technical Expertise - Offer guidance on pressure vessel repair, tank maintenance, machine guarding, and RAGAGEP interpretations.
- Mentor & Develop Others - Coach and support team members, empowering them with the knowledge and tools to uphold safety and engineering excellence.
Recruiting:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in Chemical Process Safety or Combustible Dust environments is a plus.
- Project Management Skills: Ability to lead multiple initiatives and drive projects from start to finish.
- Technical Acumen: Understanding of chemical unit operations, Process Safety Management (PSM), and key safety standards (OSHA, NFPA, ASME, API).
- Communication & Detail Orientation: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp attention to detail.
- Experience with Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and regulatory compliance is a plus.
