The Plant Master will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of nitrogen-producing plants. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues at customer sites, with minimal supervision as if you were managing your own home, addressing any mechanical, electrical or electronic issues. Technicians will also maintain process equipment such as compressors, gas analyzers, electrical control systems, and pneumatic control valves. This position requires initiative, as well as the ability to work with technical teams and coordinate resources to support plant operations. The plant master will rarely travel, will be on-call once per month, and assist with training new employees.In this role, you'll be working closely with a range of plant types at customer locations, typically within an hour's drive. You will perform routine maintenance and calibrations, ensuring plants are running efficiently and safely. You'll be expected to handle troubleshooting and problem-solving while maintaining plant efficiency.You'll manage time effectively to meet the operational and maintenance needs of the assigned plants, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You will also be responsible for collaborating with contractors and internal teams for audits and administrative requirements.Candidates with experience in operations, industrial equipment maintenance, or military engineering backgrounds (such as machinist mates, electrician mates, or gas turbine technicians) are highly encouraged to apply. Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and mechanical skills are essential, along with experience in process control systems. Familiarity with safety procedures, compliance documentation, and a variety of industrial equipment is preferred. You must also possess strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members, as well as good time management abilities to complete tasks independently.Base salary, $75K - $95K, overtime, PTO, a $10K sign on bonus, great benefits including health insurance, a 401(k) with matching, and 5 weeks' vacation. After completing the training program, you will make an additional $4 per hour. You will be issued a service pickup truck for travel to and from the work site (from home).
