Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 + Bonus

Summary

We're looking for a working Plant Manager to lead a skilled team in a family‑owned shop producing high‑precision, custom‑machined parts. This is a hands‑on role where your deep knowledge of CNC programming will help drive workflow, quality, and productivity on the floor.

You'll oversee a tight‑knit team of 15 employees, helping schedule jobs, troubleshoot programming issues, and manage day‑to‑day production. With no corporate bureaucracy and a real focus on craftsmanship, this is an ideal role for someone who enjoys both leading and doing—while keeping quality and deadlines on track.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and supervise the daily operations of a 15‑person machine shop team
  • Serve as the go‑to technical lead for CNC programming in G‑Code
  • Manage job scheduling, prioritize workflow, and ensure on‑time delivery
  • Support quoting and estimating by reviewing technical prints and requirements
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and provide real‑time solutions on the floor
  • Work closely with material suppliers, internal teams, and customers when needed
  • Track shop performance and maintain standards for safety, quality, and productivity
  • Ensure team members are trained, supported, and performing at high levels
  • Maintain documentation and production data within the ERP system
What You Bring
  • BS degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field – OR 5+ years of CNC leadership experience in a machining environment
  • Deep understanding of CNC machining and G‑Code programming
  • Prior machine shop leadership experience
  • Skilled in scheduling and managing workflow in a custom job shop
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings
  • ERP system experience and strong computer literacy (Excel, Word)
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable leading by example and coaching a high‑performing team
