Plant Manager - Judge Direct Placement : Job Details

One of our clients is currently seeking a plant manager. They are a leading provider in the meat processing industry, known for our commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to lead our facility and ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant operations.

Position Overview The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations within the meat processing facility. This includes managing production, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing performance, and leading a team of supervisors and staff. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, industry expertise, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage plant operations including production, maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics
• Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs
• Lead and mentor plant personnel, fostering a culture of safety and accountability
• Collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
• Maintain high standards of food safety and employee safety throughout the facility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in meat processing or food manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety protocols
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
