As the front-line leader for a hydro station, you'll oversee daily operations, ensuring systems run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This is a role where technical expertise meets people leadership-you'll guide plant personnel, coordinate maintenance and outage schedules, manage contractors, and interact with external agencies, all while maintaining a strong safety culture.In this position, you'll be responsible for optimizing plant performance, managing budgets, and keeping accurate operational records. You'll develop work schedules, respond to callouts, oversee the Lockout/Tagout program, and ensure that all training requirements are met. You'll also provide critical input for energy market forecasts, support environmental and dam safety programs, and assist with permitting and inspections. Your ability to make informed, timely decisions will directly impact plant reliability, production output, and community safety.The ideal candidate has a background in industrial or manufacturing environments, with experience managing teams and working on complex systems such as hydro, steam, or gas turbine operations. Knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, OSHA safety standards, hydraulic and pneumatic controls, and CMMS systems is highly valued. Veterans with backgrounds in mechanical, electrical, or facility operations will find this role especially rewarding. Physical readiness is essential, as work may involve confined spaces, heights, heavy lifting, and outdoor environments.If you're ready to lead a high-performing team, take ownership of critical operations, and contribute to the future of clean, renewable energy, we'd like to hear from you.Must Have Skills: -Hands on mechanical experience-Hydraulics and pneumatics-Leadership experience -Comfortable with the physical demands of the job Physical Requirements: Ability to perform manual tasks including but not limited to:- The operation of hand and power tools and the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.- The ability to work in confined spaces that may be small and cramped.- Ability to work in hot, noisy, and dark environments, often alone and isolated.- Comfortability working at heights and around water.- Ability to work with and wear respiratory protection.- Reach with hands and arms above shoulder level and at shoulder level.- Walk, stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time.- Grip and manually manipulate, often in repetitive motion, items such as but not limited to hand tools and machine parts.- Read and identify labels, gauges, dials, and indicators typically encountered in performing job duties.Pay/Benefits/Schedule:- 40 hour work week, mostly 8-5pm hours but could vary day to day based on needs- Salary range $85-95K- Eligible for 10% annual bonus- Full benefits: Medical, dental, vision- 401k match- 3 weeks of PTO- Strong leadership and development program: the company will reimburse any certifications or educational opportunities that apply to your role Job 58564
