We're seeking a proven Plant Manager to lead operations for a 120-employee frozen foods manufacturing facility. This role requires strong leadership in high-volume ammonia refrigeration environments, deep lean/Six Sigma expertise, and a strategic approach to driving operational excellence.

Why This Role is Unique

You'll oversee a highly specialized production environment, including:

• Ammonia refrigeration systems – 14 compressors with a combined ammonia volume of 200K lbs.
• Freezing operations – Spiral and conveyor belt freezer tunnels.
• Cooking systems – Kettles ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 gallons with steam jacketed and steam injection processes.
• Wastewater systems – Including DAF systems, SWPP, TSS, and BOD compliance.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily plant operations including production, QA, maintenance, receiving, and shipping.
• Partner with Quality to ensure consistency, monitor yields, and drive process improvements.
• Oversee recruitment, training, and development of plant personnel.
• Manage operational budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety policies.
• Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma practices to eliminate waste and boost efficiency.
• Ensure plant security and facility upkeep.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of progressive leadership in manufacturing operations.
• 3+ years managing food production in a USDA-regulated facility.
• Frozen foods & ammonia refrigeration plant leadership experience required.
• Strong lean manufacturing / Six Sigma background (Green or Black Belt preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field highly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive results, and implement continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills

• HACCP Certification.
• SQF certification.
• Experience with wastewater and environmental compliance systems.
