JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Plant Manager

Department: Operations

Location/Site: Alpine, CO

Effective Date: August2025

OBJECTIVE

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations - US, the Plant Manager will manage the day-to-day functions of Warehousing, Shipping & Receiving, Quality Control, Maintenance and Production. In addition, this role will also oversee the continuous improvement efforts throughout the Atlanta facility. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating activities between all departments and assisting the Vice President of Operations with operational objectives, fiscal financial budget planning, and maintaining and executing all Good Manufacturing Practices, Health & Safety policies and procedures, and Food Safety guidelines including audits.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management or related field Experience & Skills:
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of operations management experience, within the food industry (produce industry would be considered a strong asset) with a proven record to lead a warehouse/production team
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred (spoken and written)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills verbal and written
  • Strong knowledge of industrial engineering with mechanical aptitude and knowledge of troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Laws and Regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Office and prior experience with inventory management software
  • Experience creating fiscal financial budgets incorporating both capital and labor costing
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to exhibit a hands-on approach to supervise, coach and mentor production and warehouse employees
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular working hours including weekends and evening
  • A valid driver's license and passport
  • Flexibility and willing to travel within Canada and the US as required

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all warehouse operations, including but not limited to shipping and receiving, inventory control, production, maintenance, and quality control.
  • Oversee and manage budgets, inventory control, warehouse costs and services and communicate with outside vendors.
  • Manage expenses as they relate to both repairs, maintenance, and labor
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and flow of goods as they enter and exit the
  • Work closely with Quality Control Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations as they pertain to
  • Monitor age of products on hand and quality of
  • Ensure a positive working environment while maintaining strong labor relations with all
  • Manage and approve payroll, overtime, and time & attendance
  • Comply and ensure all warehouse employees are following company policies and
  • Ensure compliance and enforce all applicable provincial laws and regulations relating to employment standards and health and safety.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams including Finance, Sales, and Human
  • Other duties as directed by the Vice President of Operations.
