Job Description
Overview:
The Plant Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations and assisting in the areas of safety and environmental, production, manufacturing, testing and analysis, quality assurance, and/or maintenance to ensure the required business objectives are met in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
Duties / Responsibilities:
• Assists and directs in facility operations for laboratory, production, maintenance, quality and safety.
• Oversees safe and environmentally conscious operations on a daily basis for the manufacturing and distribution of quality products produced in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Ensures team is fully trained in, committed to, and conducts their activities in accordance with all aspects of our client'ssafety and quality systems requirements, coordinating quality and safety training.
• Develops and controls profits, plans and budgets.
• Establishes and monitors overall plant performance for production, safety and quality standards.
• Supports 5S and continuously identifies ways to reduce plant operating costs through the incorporation of Operational Excellence strategies.
• Handles personnel issues including training, coaching and counseling subordinates.
• Is a key designer and facilitator in the ongoing implementation of the plant's continuous improvement initiatives to improve operations.
• Develops and implements site-based strategies and initiatives which support business objectives and strategies including asset optimization, plant staffing models and application of global best practices and standards.
• Directs the planning layout of equipment, workflow and workforce utilization.
• Reviews product quality and quality assurance processes.
• Ensures proper implementation of policies, programs, and standards.
• Recommends capital projects and manages project design and installations.
• Directs, reviews, and ensures preventative maintenance programs.
• Has awareness of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards.
• Performs other duties as required and assigned.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor Degree in engineering, business management or related field or equivalent experience in manufacturing field.
• Five (5) or more years' experience with high purity chemicals and/or semiconductor industry is required.
• Five (5) or more years of operations/distribution/quality experience.
• Three (3) or more years managing and developing employees required.
