About the Opportunity

Divine Resource Solutions is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a well-established manufacturer in the wood product manufacturing industry. We are seeking a hands-on, results-oriented Plant Manager to lead operations at the company's Bowling Green, KY facility. This is a key leadership role focused on driving plant performance, safety, and team development in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

Position Summary

The Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality, safety, logistics, and maintenance. This individual will play a critical role in implementing process improvements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations across production, maintenance, quality control, logistics, and safety.
  • Drive efficiency and performance by implementing LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee inventory management and production scheduling to ensure on-time customer delivery.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture by enforcing OSHA compliance and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure plant goals align with broader business objectives.
  • Support, coach, and develop departmental supervisors and staff to foster growth, engagement, and retention.
  • Ensure facility and equipment are maintained to maximize uptime and operational reliability.

Supervisory Scope

This role oversees a cross-functional team including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or related field .
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in wood product manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (EPICOR experience ).
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
  • LEAN or Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 44 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of hands for mechanical tasks and inspections.
  • Occasional work in elevated areas or in varying plant conditions.
