Position SummaryResponsible for management of Shirley Basin satellite operations. This primarily consists, but is not limited to, operating and understanding all systems in the uranium satellite (Ion Exchange, Filtration, Water Treatment / Disposal, and Reagents).
Position SummaryResponsible for management of Shirley Basin satellite operations. This primarily consists, but is not limited to, operating and understanding all systems in the uranium satellite (Ion Exchange, Filtration, Water Treatment / Disposal, and Reagents).Essential FunctionsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. - Maintain safe and efficient capture of uranium from production fluids
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements
- Compile process data for analysis and determine trends in processes; utilize process data for use in preparation of daily and monthly production and compliance reports
- Schedule and manage work crews
- Provide budgets for operations activities; specify and purchase process materials and equipment
- Review automation and instrumentation systems and data to optimize satellite operations
- Anticipate and identify operational issues before they develop into problems; work with staff to troubleshoot and correct operational upsets or problems
- Diagnose fluid transfer, filtration, and treatment issues related to satellite operations.
- Develop and maintain chemical systems and evaluate chemical processes to optimize production.
- Evaluate and optimize PIDs and flow sheets.
- Work with other departments/staff as necessary to achieve production and operational goals.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or like degree
- Critical thinking and strong communication skills
- Strong math skills related to chemistry and process operations
- Experience and compliance with regulations and procedures
- Strong planning, organizational and follow up skills
- Comprehension of safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Driver's license and insurance-eligible driving record.
