Job Title: Plant Manager
Location: Brockton, MA
Reports To: Director of Operations
Pay Rate: $140K -$170K

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead our production facility in Brockton, MA. The Plant Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring the highest quality product is delivered efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. This role is a key leadership position responsible for driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring compliance with all company, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, materials, quality assurance, and systems support.
- Drive performance in safety, quality, service, cost, and inventory management.
- Analyze plant metrics and operational data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Coordinate production schedules to meet customer and marketing demands.
- Develop and implement policies to improve efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, GMP, and company policies.
- Maintain a state of inspection-readiness at all times.
- Monitor and enforce FIFO inventory practices.
- Manage and resolve production variances and internal/customer issues.
- Hire, train, mentor, and manage production staff and frontline leaders.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and positive employee relations.
- Evaluate employee performance and conduct regular reviews.
- Ensure compliance with accident prevention and plant security policies.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of food manufacturing and leadership experience OR Associate's degree and 10+ years of experience.
- Strong background in production, quality, or engineering within a food manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Working knowledge of processing equipment and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; especially Excel and Word.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a unionized environment, with knowledge of union contract administration.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple departments.
- Strategic mindset with a global approach to business operations.
