The Plant Manager will lead efforts to drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost through lean methodologies based on Toyota Production System (TPS). This role oversees a high-mix, low-volume operation in steel fabrication, control panel assembly, and testing, focusing on building a high-performing team and creating a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a safety-first culture with a focus on quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, ensuring high morale and engagement.
  • Implement Lean principles (5S, SMED, TPM, etc.) to drive operational improvements.
  • Set and execute action plans aligned with business goals and KPIs.
  • Lead regular reviews of plant performance, ensuring timely execution of corrective actions.
  • Drive cost reduction in labor, manufacturing overhead, and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, engineering, HR, etc.) to meet business needs.
  • Resolve production and customer issues by facilitating communication between sales and plant teams.
  • Identify new business opportunities for manufacturing growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience, with 3+ years in a managerial role.
  • Proven success in driving lean culture and performance improvements.
  • Metal fabrication and welding experience preferred; familiarity with a Burmese workforce is a plus.
  • Strong leadership with the ability to drive change and build followership.
  • Metrics-driven with a focus on achieving results.
  • Passion for lean manufacturing and operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication skills and a high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to lead in a low-volume, high-mix environment.
