Wanted: Plant Manager (Precast Concrete)

Our organization is currently seeking a dynamic Plant Manager to oversee plant activities and achieve our business objectives. We specialize in concrete products, particularly in the field of Concrete/Highway Construction. We are looking for candidates with supervisory experience in this industry. Preference will be given to those with expertise in manufacturing precast/prestressed products.

Essential Functions:

Oversee, direct, coordinate, and report on all bridge projects, ensuring they are completed within

the allotted time frame and budget while maintaining the company's quality standards.

Drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes.

Manage daily plant operations, from concrete production to adherence to policies and

procedures.

Actively participate in the bid review process, providing objective assessments for manpower

requirements and production rates.

Demonstrate strong team-building, decision-making, and people management skills.

Plan, organize, direct, and optimize day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain a master production schedule and inventory status.

Ensure production output, product quality, and on-time shipping.

Review work in progress and productivity, reporting difficulties and recommending solutions.

Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.

Ensure product quality and safe working conditions.

Maintain a harmonious relationship with suppliers, inspectors, and employees.

Enforce adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Enjoy working outdoors.

Education: Some formal education/skills training beyond high school. Preference given to current or past Certificate holders from PCI, NPCA, or American

Concrete Association (ACI).

Experience: 5 to 10 years in the manufacture of precast concrete products, or highway

construction.

Minimum of 5 years in the management and supervisory function of plant or project operations in

the concrete / highway construction industry.

Skills and Knowledge: Computer literacy, ability to read blueprints, familiarity with construction

techniques, and supervision skills.

Language: Conversational level of Spanish.

Physical: Ability to sit, stand, kneel, walk, climb, crawl, and lift up to 75 pounds.

Mental: Strong command of math skills and the English language.

Working Conditions: Office and plant environment, with varying conditions throughout the year.
