Your role

Management:* Manage the manufacturing of the product following company standards and theproduction schedule with regard and compliance to all safety/ environmental rules;including those relating to employees, equipment and product.* Coordinate plant activities through planning with department managers to ensurequality and production objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effectivemanner.* Monitor and report overall plant performance for production and quality standards.* Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment as per budget and maintenanceprogram.* Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.* Maintain and develop community relations.* Assist in the completion of special projects.

Food Safety:* Ensure all operations staff is trained on safe food handling requirements to includeknowledge of GMPs and HACCP.* Ensure all operations staff understands intervals in the process that may presentfood safety risks and understand what actions should be taken in such events.

Control and Reporting* Monitor plant key performance indicators and implement preventative and/orcorrective action.* Prepare monthly reports of results, monthly forecasts, annual operating plan, andstrategic planning in accordance with corporate format and time requirements.

Continuous improvement:* Contribute to the implementation of the continuous improvement program

* Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.* Five years of leadership experience in managing a food operation preferred.* Proven ability in improving plant operations and team development.* Knowledge of safety and compliance with state/federal regulations.* Knowledge of quality initiatives, specifically GMP and HACCP.* Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook expertise will be necessary in the fulfilment ofthis position* Excellent analysis and decision making skills* Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees
