The Plant Costing Manager is primarily responsible for partnering with the NA Operations Leadership Team to provide financial support, aiding in key business decisions, and working with the Finance team to ensure accuracy of financial records, budgets, and forecasts for the plants.
Primary responsibilities include collaborating with operations teams to complete month-end closing/reporting, developing and analyzing the annual Operations budget, forecasting, business performance analysis, and corporate compliance reporting.
This role also involves completing the annual standard setting process and periodic updates, ensuring PPV and Variance Capitalizations are accurate, and verifying the amortization of standards changes and capitalized variances for GAAP and IFRS compliance.
The position reports with a dotted line to the VP of Operations.

Essential Functions:
- Business Partner: Collaborate with Operations as a trusted partner, identifying opportunities and performing analysis to improve costs, support capex projects, enhance efficiencies, and optimize networks.
- Budgeting/Forecasting: Own the plant budget and forecasts, working with operations and FP&A to develop budgets, reforecasts (up to 4 times per year), and set standard costs.
- Plant performance and Month-End: Work with plants to complete month-end close, cost reviews, and forecast preparation, including journal entries, operational analysis, KPI reporting, and capital asset management.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and work with plant contacts on departmental expense analysis and cost improvement actions.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Fixed Asset teams to ensure accurate capital requests, asset capitalization, and reporting.
- Reporting & Controls: Interface with various teams to meet reporting requirements and maintain compliance with US GAAP & IFRS, ensuring a strong control environment.
- Year-End: Assist with inventory and fixed asset physicals, update standard costs, and support audits.
- ERP Support: Provide support and troubleshooting for ERP systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Finance/Accounting
- 7+ years in accounting & FP&A environment
- Experience in Manufacturing
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- SAP knowledge
