The Plant Costing Manager is primarily responsible to closely partner with the NA Operations Leadership Team to provide financial support to assist them in making key business decisions as well as the Finance team to ensure accuracy of financial records, and that budgets and forecasts for the plants are complete & accurate.-
Primary responsibilities include working with the operations teams to complete month-end closing/reporting, and support in the development and analysis of the annual Operations budget, forecasting, business decision / performance analysis, and corporate compliance reporting responsibilities.
This position will also complete the annual standard setting process, and periodic standards updates during the year as needed.- Duties also include ensuring PPV and Variance Capitalizations are accurate as well as ensuring the amortization of standards changes and capitalized variances are accurate for both GAAP and IFRS.-

Essential Functions:
Business Partner Work with Operations Team as a trusted business partner, identifying opportunities and performing analysis to improve costs, support capex projects, improve efficiencies, network optimization opportunities, etc.
Budgeting/Forecasting – Ownership for plant budget and forecasting, working closely with operations and FP&A team to develop plant spending budgets, Reforecasts (up to 4X per year), setting standard costs, etc.
Plant performance and Month End - Responsible to work with plants to complete the month-end close/reporting process, cost reviews, and forecast preparation. This includes posting journal entries, analyzing operational changes, reconciling productivity, ensuring accurate operational costs, reconciliation and assisting in capital asset management, KPI reporting, etc.
Analyze factory administration costs, manufacturing variances, purchase price variances and other manufacturing costs and work with Plant contacts on Departmental Expense Analysis and on action plans for improving cost performance.
Work Closely with the Engineering team and the Fixed Asset Manager to ensure Capital requests are complete and accurate, fixed asset capitalizations are timely, and reporting is accurate.
Reporting & Controls - Interface with the Operations team, the Corporate Accounting team, the MOC and the FP&A team to ensure all reporting requirements are being met.
Working with the Internal Audit Specialist, assist in maintaining a strong, cost-effective Controls environment ensuring compliance with US GAAP & IFRS accounting and reporting regulations for plant related costs, and SG accounting policies and procedures.
Year-End – Assist with Year-end Inventory and Fixed Asset physicals, update standard costing, providing data for external & internal audits questions, etc.
ERP Support and troubleshooting
Required Qualification:
BS in Finance/Accounting
7+ years in accounting & FPA environment
Experience in a Manufacturing environment
Advanced PC Skills Excel, Word, PowerPoint
SAP Knowledge
