Strivector's premier client (a well-known market leader in their space) is hiring for the following full-time direct hire position.POSITION OVERVIEWAs a Plant Controls & Instrumentation Engineer your roles and responsibilities will include:
  • Support production and maintenance teams in troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems.
  • Execute minor control loop and instrumentation upgrades.
  • Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of capital projects related to process controls.
  • Configure and maintain the plant's Distributed Control System (DCS), manage alarms, and update operator graphics.
  • Develop and refine preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Manage calibration requirements for critical quality instrumentation and maintain associated documentation.
  • Conduct training and qualification testing for new and existing instrument technicians.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with EHS and cybersecurity standards.
QUALIFICATIONSMost importantly, you need to be a passionate Plant Controls & Instrumentation Engineer who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Plant Controls & Instrumentation Engineer would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of hands-on experience in instrumentation and control systems.
  • Proficient in process instrumentation, control systems, and DCS platforms.
  • Strong safety awareness, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and influencing abilities.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
