Overview:

We're hiring a Plant Controller to lead finance and accounting operations across two manufacturing plants for a growing, sustainability-focused company. This is a hands-on role supporting operations, driving financial performance, and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions (AP/AR, payroll, inventory, journal entries, close) for both sites.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting for leadership and external stakeholders.
• Act as the key finance partner for plant leadership; support performance reviews and margin improvement.
• Deliver variance analysis, cost reporting, and operational KPIs.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and identify financial risks/opportunities.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure GAAP/SOX compliance.
• Support audits and prepare related documentation.
• Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, and assist with pricing strategy.
• Support ERP upgrades and continuous process improvement.
• Mentor site-level finance staff as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment; multi-site experience preferred.
• Deep understanding of cost accounting, inventory, and plant operations.
• Proficient in Excel; ERP experience (Oracle/SAP) strongly preferred.
• Onsite presence required; some travel to Chesterfield, MI between sites (up to 10%).
