Job Description
Title: Planner/Scheduler

Key Accountabilities:
Review and process Material Requirement Plan (MRP) based delivery schedules for suppliers.
Create Purchase Orders to specification and transmit to suppliers.
Effectively communicate with suppliers on deliveries and delivery status changes
Keep management abreast of schedule progress, developments and pending problems
Contribute to the Networking Capital project team and help optimize the part inventory levels
Adhere to company and professional ethics governing the handling of confidential information and the observation of confidentiality
Develop & progress professional relationships with company employees, clients and customers to enhance solutions
Represent the company through specialized communication, presentation and in all interactions internally and externally
Drive organizational improvements with suggested solutions for process improvements
Keep management informed on current workload, issues and future assignments
Implement good housekeeping practices
Promote a safety and compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct
Perform special projects and prepare reports as required.
Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Materials Management or Supply Chain; or 4 years of experience in materials management or planning/scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications:
Good knowledge of computer applications and/or controlled systems
Good analytical ability and problem-solving skills for complex problems - multiple variables
Good interpersonal skills - must be able to support win-win relationships with suppliers and work effectively with others
Good negotiation skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Good organization, planning and follow-up skills
Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
Familiar with engine related components
Knowledge of MTU products, policies and procedures
Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
SAP knowledge
