Job Description :

Our client is seeking a Planned Giving Association to join their team! The Planned Giving Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's Charitable Gift Annuity Program by following best practices and state requirements in establishing charitable gift annuities and other life income gifts. They will work with planned giving donors, major gift officers, and other staff and volunteers and will serve as a liaison with the bank administering Hadassah's charitable gift annuity funds and contracts.

  • Pay rate: $25 per hour
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with donors, prospects, and the major gift officers to prepare tailored proposals and illustrations
  • Prepare gift annuity calculations, tax documentation, and contracts in accordance with state charitable gift annuity regulations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Establish gift annuities by coordinating with the administering bank, processing funds, and maintaining accurate records in the donor and planned giving databases
  • (e.g., PG Calc Giftwrap)
  • Ensure donors receive accurate tax information in their gift acknowledgement letters and collaborate with the bank to confirm that 1099Rs and K1s are properly distributed
  • Verify that annuitants receive correct payments by providing necessary documentation to the bank, communicating changes in donor information, and keeping PG&E's records up to date
  • Manage BatchCalc mailings and participate in other marketing initiatives to secure new charitable gift annuities and promote the planned giving program
  • Attend relevant industry conferences, workshops, or webinars to stay current on planned giving trends and best practices, and share acquired knowledge with the team to drive innovation and improvement
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree (BA or BS) is required, plus 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in Planned Giving is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and prior experience with PG Calc's Planned Giving Manager or similar software is preferred
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on business writing and interpersonal communication
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in managing data and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, sensitivity, and discretion when interacting with prospective donors and their representatives
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
