For the Pizza Manager, this means overseeing all pizza department operations, managing the team, ensuring quality pizza and related products, streamlining workflows, and delivering exceptional customer experiences to achieve business goals. Your Day-to-Day
  • Oversee daily pizza operations, including dough preparation, topping assembly, product rotation, and customer service
  • Manage pizza production, planning, special orders, and seasonal menu offerings for retail needs
  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety compliance in the pizza production and prep areas, including equipment maintenance and adherence to health regulations
  • Create staff schedules in alignment with employees' availability and oversee payroll accuracy to meet operational needs and budget goals
  • Respond to customer feedback and resolve concerns to ensure satisfaction and uphold Adams' reputation for exceptional service
  • Monitor inventory levels, order ingredients and packaging supplies, and manage purchasing to meet customer demand and minimize waste
  • Proactively assist to resolve operational challenges such as staffing or supply shortages
  • Accurately review timecards and for payroll accuracy, working with store management to stay within payroll goals
  • Guide new team members and provide consistent training and development to support performance, growth, and success
  • Facilitate job interviews, manage disciplinary discussions, and develop employee success plans to align individual goals with company objectives
  • Maintain visibility on the floor, check in with team members, reinforce priorities, and ensure high-quality pizza operations throughout the day
  • Keep organized records of inventory, customer comments, and team communications to support smooth, efficient pizza operations
What you bring to the Farm
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • At least two to five years of management experience in a pizzeria, culinary arts, or other food retail setting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to demonstrate, encourage, and set the example of Adams' culture and values
  • Skills in using Windows-based software and communication platforms to efficiently manage tasks, share information, and support team collaboration
  • Commitment to exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams' products and quality
  • Experience gained through growth and leadership within Adams may also be considered, provided the candidate can demonstrate proven ability to lead teams, support daily kitchen operations, and uphold Adams' standards for quality and service.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to manage varying business demands
  • Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Safely operate pizza equipment such as pizza ovens, single slice ovens, mixers, and the point of sales system necessary to operate the department
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for duration of a shift
  • Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift
  • Effectively communicate with others to exchange information in a fast-paced environment
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in tight and confined spaces
  • Use the compactor and cardboard crusher for disposing of garbage and cardboard

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions - including skill sets, experience, training, certifications and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour. At Adams, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation.
