Title: Piping Designer / Field Engineer Location: Hastings, NE Contract 12 Months With Extension/Hire NOTE: MUST BE PROFICIENT IN use of Bluebeam for redline markups and understanding of redline process NOTE: Per Diem, Travel, Relocation and Furlough Pay available Description: Must have experience with mega refinery / oil and gas industry Principal Duties and Responsibilities - General understanding of construction disciplines.
- Ability to read and understand drawings from construction disciplines - Isos, P&IDs, Civil, Structural, Mechanical/Equipment, E&I, etc.
- Proficient in use of Bluebeam for redline markups and understanding of redline process.
- Ability to perform field investigation of RFI problems and resolve.
- MUST BE PROFICIENT IN Proficient in use of Bluebeam for redline markups and understanding of redline process.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinates the disposition of RFIs, NCRs and Field Changes • Assists managing design changes throughout the project lifecycle • Addresses and solves day to day project coordination challenges supporting the PM in the identification, logging, analysis and resolution/mitigation of issues and risks • Assists in the preparation of Risk Management Sessions • Assists in the preparation of Lessons Learned Sessions • Assists in the preparation of Project Gate Review Packages
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management • Advanced knowledge of Project Management Processes; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification an asset • Experience in project coordination and/or technical experience in large Design & Build • Must have excellent communication skills, possess high level of integrity, and willingness to build trust and accountability in inter-personal relationships while working in team setting • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English • Must be proficient in current communication mediums and technologies (i.e., Microsoft Office, telecommunications, email, meetings) • Must be in good physical condition and shall comply with all project health and safety requirements (including any vendor, vessel or country-specific certifications required to work offshore) • Must comply with all requirements per the agreement • Certifications must be current and not due to expire for the anticipated duration of the project • Experience dealing with general contractors and design sub consultants
