Pipefitter

The Pipefitter will assemble, install, and replace pipe systems and related components including metal, plastic, ceramic, and composition materials. The role also involves installing plumbing fixtures.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install piping and tubing systems to conduct water, steam, air, and other fluids, solids, or gases in and around buildings and structures.
  • Install vacuum piping systems, drainage, and sewage lines (laterals) from buildings to the point of attachment.
  • Handle and move materials and equipment used by plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters.
  • Demolish old wastewater treatment stations and build new ones.
  • Work alongside an assistant supervisor on site who is very mechanical and can provide oversight.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of verifiable experience preferred.
  • Experience working with piping systems and fixtures.
  • Adequate knowledge of lengths and construction measurements for tool and machinery use.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Effective communication with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
  • Good manual dexterity; ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with different types of piping.
  • Experience working in oilfield or natural gas stations, installing and fitting various pipes.
  • Experience working with 6 and 12 steel pipe and PVC pipe.
  • Experience with ductile iron pipe, horizontal pumps, and steel pipe.
  • Ability to throw control points on the ground and give elevations.

Work Environment

Expect a schedule of four 10-hour days, Monday to Thursday, from 6:30 AM to 5 PM, with occasional Friday overtime as needed. 40 hours per week are expected.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Frisco, Colorado.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
